Kevin B. Smith, CSEE
Kevin is the Managing Director of OnPoint Sports Strategies, LLC in St. Petersburg Florida. Prior, he served as Director of the St. Petersburg Clearwater Sports Commission (CVB) for 17 years. Under his direction, the Sports Commission had an economic impact of more than $43 million dollars to Pinellas County in 2015. They also hosted 130 events resulting in over 125,000 room nights in that same year.
During his time as the director, the St. Pete Clearwater Sports Commission hosted such major events as the St. Petersburg Rock & Roll Half Marathon, the American Athletic Conference Baseball Championship and created the Big East/BIG TEN Baseball Challenge.
Kevin also served on the National Association of Sports Commissions’ Board of Directors for 9 years, and in 2014 held the position as Chairman of the Board. He has been on the Outback Bowl board for 28 years, and In 2014, was elected by the board of directors to hold the post as Chairman for the 2015 game.
Kevin and his St. Pete Clearwater Sports Commission colleagues founded the Sports Legacy Program in 2004, which is now a part of the National Association of Sports Commissions. This national program provides donated sports equipment and financial support in NASC host communities and has provided more than $100,000 in equipment and funding.
Kevin attended Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida and graduated with a degree in Business.
Linnie A. Randolph
Linnie worked closely with Kevin on several projects including the facility audit for New Smyrna Beach, Fl, Durham Sports Commission Sports Tourism workshop,
St. Petersburg Et Cultura Festival and other local events.
Linnie was contracted by Florida Destinations and Incentives (FDI), as an Event Coordinator from December 2016 to August 2017 to streamline their staffing and inventory needs. She worked with FDI’s executive director to establish an independent contractor database, procedural manual, and guidelines for event staffing. Her duties also included establishing an inventory process including reorganization of warehouse inventory and a database to track usage.
Linnie served as a Project Manager with the St. Petersburg Clearwater Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) from 2009 to 2016. During her time at the CVB she worked directly with the Executive Management team, the Tourist Development Council, Management of the countywide Elite Event program. She headed the coordination of funding and projects with the CVB and Pinellas County chambers, and the management of warehouse and collateral inventory. Linnie also worked with the CVB’s Sports Commission on event activation including staffing and volunteer coordination as well as on-site event management.
Prior to joining the CVB, Linnie served as an executive assistant to Pinellas County Commissioner Ronnie E. Duncan from 2005 to 2009. During this time Linnie was able to develop her knowledge of local government guidelines, processes and operations. She worked with County Administrators and department directors on a number of projects relating to the growth and maintenance of the County.
